UMBERTO II - The Prince, the King, the Man​

     La nostra associazione, rappresentata dal Presidente e da altri Soci, sarà_cc781905-5cde-3194 -bb3b-136bad5cf58d_present in Todi, next 12 January, on the occasion of the first presentation of the bookUMBERTO II - The Prince, the King, the Man. The invitation was formulated by the prestigious and ancientCultural Club "Tuderte", who had already invited our President Guglielmo Bonanno di San Lorenzo, for the presentation of his bookELENA OF ITALY - The good Queen, last February 16, an occasion in which the audience had greatly appreciated the exposure of the author of the book.

First national presentation  of the book"UMBERT II - The Prince, the King, the Man".

The first presentation of the volume ended, crowned with great public success“UMBERT II - The Prince, the King, the Man”, held last January 12 in the beautiful town of Todi (PG).

The author, the President Dr. Guglielmo Bonanno di San Lorenzo, after the presentation of his volume“ELENA OF ITALY - The Good Queen”, was welcomed, with renewed warmth, in the Umbrian town, awaited by a large audience, always very attentive and interested in the texts, published so far by the author, on the exponents of the House of Savoy at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries.

The meeting opened with a short and heartfelt welcome message from the President of the Tuderte Circle, theDr. Luigino POPOLI.

Very lively and interesting, also on this occasion, was the debate promoted by the author himself, who evidently, as demonstrated in all his previous presentations or conferences, loves to deal with his audience very much. Very pertinent questions therefore gave the author the opportunity to range over many topics and to delve into some very interesting ones, treated in his book dedicated to the last King of Italy.

The Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Todi, Dr. Claudio RANCHICCHIO, after following the entire meeting with evident satisfaction, he asked to take the floor and during his  interesting speech, he warmly complimented the author of the book and made explicit reference to the value of culture, especially in the direction of young people; this value also reflects the one stated among the objectives of our Cultural and Philanthropic Association“QUEEN SAPIENTIAE”.

Precisely in function of his position as President, the March. Dr. Guglielmo Bonanno of San Lorenzo proceeded to deliver the cards and related diplomas of“Honorary Member”of the Ass. REGINA SAPIENTIAE to the two excellent speakers,Marquis Prof. Avv. Emilio Petrini Mansi della Fontanazzaformer professor at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome, as well as professor and coordinator at the SSML in Pisa andProf. Lawyer Fausto Giumettilecturer at the Federico II University of Naples and the University of Florence.

A similar recognition was given by our President also toAttorney Senator Domenico BENEDETTI VALENTINI, who took the floor speaking of the importance ofcultureand underlining also his most sincere and lively appreciation for the previous works of the Marquis of San Lorenzo, which he has read so far, complimenting the author on the precision and expository clarity of his texts, as well as on the extensive and detailed documentation support of everything stated in them. 

The meeting, expertly organized byDr. Francesco GALLOand his wifeDr. Laura PAOLESSI, concluded with a welcome lunch offered by the "Tuderte" Club in its splendid and very ancient headquarters.
